Nice video Urb. Is there something up with the lane decks there? It sounds so weird when they hit the pins - or are the pins themselves just weird?

Kickbacks must be lively! I've only videos and Easter Classic experience watching Candlepins (my balls are slower) but I can't believe I've ever seen a shot like Rich Bober had at 3:04-3:19. Hit pocket, drove pins to left wall, one bounced up and over the 5 pin, leaving a brutal 5-7 split with no wood.

Also notice a beam about half way down the alleys going across, wonder if that changes/alters the sound.

@Steve - Good point. I never thought of the beam there that could be affecting the sound. The only reason I asked is that is sounds different than all the other videos (for the most part). It could be that it's a smaller alley as well and the sound bouncing off the walls could be different, or the position of the camera.

I've bowled more against Bober than I have against Mayer, but Bober is deadly. Always seems like that guy gets a mark to close the door, or make it close.

I am going to say the sound difference is mostly because of the size of the center. There is a 6 lane and an 8 lane house in northern New Brunswick that are extremely different sounding and it is because the size of the bowling alley. With the walls so much closer together and the support beams in the middle, which usually mean you are in the basement somewhere lol, it creates alot more things for the noise to echo against thus creating the louder, echoing sound when the ball hits the lane and then hits the pins. That is just my theory anyways.
